Thank you! We’ve just returned from a fabulous weekend at Middle Reston.
We feel so lucky to have been afforded the opportunity to stay at your fabulous home.
We were looked after so well by Jilly and enjoyed meeting the dogs and cat who enhanced our stay.
We stayed in the attic with it’s wonderful views and enjoyed two wonderful breakfasts. Wonderful weekend and we can’t wait to return.
Amanda Philip and Jon Meaking.

We really enjoyed our stay at Middle Reston and would like others to know what makes it so special. We could not have been made more welcome. Simon and Jen can not do enough for you and treat you as guests sharing their home rather than your typical bed and breakfast where often guests have separate areas of the house away from the owners.
I think this is what sets Middle Reston apart from your normal bed and breakfast and makes you feel relaxed and at home. The breakfasts were wonderful with organic produce used. There were also lovely finishing touches in our room such as fresh roses.
I would not hesitate to return.
Kind Regards
Sara and Paul.

Thank you for making our stay at Middle Reston a 'unique' and pleasurable experience. You have a wonderful house, and made us both feel very welcome. Your attention to detail was greatfuly received.
Wishing you both well
Stefan, Paul & Lotti.

Good morning Simon
Many many thanks to Jilly and yourself from Phyl, John, Jim and I for your wonderful hospitality over the weekend - we all enjoyed it so much - and hope to return in the not too distant future. It was very special to share your beautiful home, grounds, lovable dogs, cat, donkey, pony and hens for the weekend!
Kind regards

Hi there!!!
I am sure this mail it is completely unexpected. I am Mireia. I was at your house, Middle Reston, during the weekend of the 9th of October. I should have written much earlier but unfortunately for me I am back to normal hectic working life in London. My return to London went according to plan I managed to catch the fast train to London and I was there within 3.5hrs if my memory doesn't fail me.

I couldn't say goodbye to you when I was there, because you were working at the office.
I had such a lovely weekend, thanks for everything!!!

The house was absolutely beautiful and during my time there I felt very welcomed by yourself and your family, thank you very much for making my short trip to Staveley a very enjoyable one. I will try to mail you some of the pictures of the house and the surrounding area that I made over the weekend as soon as I manage to download them.
I will probably go to Spain around the beggining of July and I'll get Maudie the book I promised her.
Please send my love to the girls and once again THANK YOU very much!!!

Some recent comments from our visitor book
We were fortunate enough to find this hidden gem of a country house to stay at over the May Bank Holiday. It's about a mile from Staveley village and about 3 miles from Kendal. Set in its own grounds with woodlands at the back, and bedroom windows overlooking the fells and stunning local countryside. The wonderful Edwardian country house is home to dogs, cat, donkey and hens, as well as the family who look after their guests so well. We had a delicious breakfast both mornings - the choice included smoked salmon and scrambled egg and kippers. If you want to stay somewhere away from the madding crowd, but not too far away from local attractions it is the perfect place. We visited Sizergh Castle which although is undergoing extensive exterior renovation, has the most beautiful gardens and fascinating interior with some of the best wood panelling and carving in the country. As advised and booked by our hosts we had evening dinner at the Sun Inn, Crook, which needs to be booked early as it is so popular.
